JULY 11th turned out to be the BEST day of this past week! The weather was dry although a bit humid. It was perfect for the 8AM Shot Gun Member/Guest Day at Makray Memorial Golf Club.
Lori Kirby and Noreen Ishak were the Co-Chairs of this event. Organizing such a large event with so many golfers is not an easy task, as many of us know, and they did a great job! From the workshop at Lori's place, to the tables at Makray, bags and boxes were stuffed, wrapped and displayed in beautiful fashion.
85 golfers attended this year's fun event of 2 Best Balls - Team. There was a clear First Place Winning team with a 110 team score. However, there were several runners up coming in with a score of 117.

A special thank you goes out to Lori Kirby's granddaughter, Claudia and Noreen Ishak's granddaughter, Faith. They were a tremendous help and two very smart and talented young ladies.
Claudia just graduated from South Middle School. She is a Tae Kwon Do, first degree black belt in her age group. She recently earned 2nd and 3rd place medals in her age/weight class at the TKUSA Nationals.
Faith will be entering the 8th grade at Lincoln Middle School in the Fall. She swims competitively for Mt. Prospect and is a straight A student. Faith also plays the flute and sings in her school choir and is a member of the Celebration Singers at her school.

Don Habjan, Makray Club Pro, was our official score keeper. So to determine the 2nd and 3rd place winners, there was a score card playoff. You'll see who the winners were in the slideshow below.
A special Thank You also to Audrea and her staff for all the dining room services and to Walter, the Chef, who never disappoints when preparing a great luncheon with a scrumptous dessert.
